Float Discs

Float Discs

Float discs, also known as float blades or float pans, are specialized attachments used in concrete finishing equipment, particularly in power trowels. These circular discs are designed to be mounted onto the rotating arms of a power trowel machine. Unlike regular trowel blades, float discs do not have the same sharp edges for the final finishing process. Instead, they are typically flat and smooth, allowing them to provide a different function during the concrete finishing process.Float discs are primarily used in the initial stages of concrete finishing. After the concrete has been placed and leveled, the power trowel with float discs is used to smooth out the surface and create a preliminary finish. The float discs help in closing up surface imperfections, filling voids, and pushing down the coarse aggregate to create a more uniform and dense concrete surface.
